ICR Residents help with food pick-up and stocking of La Maestra’s Food Pantry to feed City Heights residents in need

ICR assists residents in the transition back into the workforce and teaches the skills needed to apply and interview for jobs, strategies for job retention, and tools for career advancement.
We provide opportunities for residents to gain access to better employment positions and more advanced training programs through job-specific computer skills training as well as internet and email basics and tips for finding jobs, housing and community resources. Educational advancement is encouraged and a San Diego Continuing Education campus is located a block away.

Referrals from and Collaboration with Drug Court, Probation/Parole, Salvation Army, Churches, Prison Ministries, Father Joe’s Villages

 

Collaborate with County Mental Health Services Soon will have housing for women in recovery Currently referring women in need to programs such as McAllister, Rachel’s House, Mended Women

 


Job Readiness, Training and Placement

Residents are placed in volunteer, paid training, or full-time employment positions in a range of microenterprises run by ICR and La Maestra Foundation, our sister organization, to develop their skills in a variety of professions including:

Building Security • Green Janitorial Services • Laundry and Linen Services
Construction Cleanup • Hauling • Parking Attendant and Valet Services • Flower Shop
Secondhand Boutique & Gift Shop
